Chad Clifford has been a staple in the Northwest Indiana music scene since the 1980’s both as a solo artist and as the lead singer and songwriter for the Chicago area band CrawPuppies. Over the years, Chad and his bands have shared the stage with a diverse number of acts including Counting Crows, John Waite, Styx, Sublime, the Gin Blossoms, Live, REO Speedwagon, The Smithereens, The Romantics, Blues Traveler, Cracker and Rusted Root. The CrawPuppies have two releases “Peaceful Amnesty” and “World’s Much Bigger” both are available on iTunes.
He is the owner of Valparaiso Indiana’s Front Porch Music. “The Porch” is a musical destination for lessons, instruments and performances in Northern Indiana.
His solo acoustic set consists of over 500 classic rock and pop tunes from the 50’s
and beyond as well as his well received originals.
Last year (2015) was Chad’s introduction to Abbey Road on the River. He played two acoustic sets in the Neiman Gallery consisting of Beatle hits, rarities and solo Beatle gems. A lifelong Beatles fanatic, his favorite part of Abbey Road on the River was meeting likeminded Beatlepeople and jamming until the wee hours of the morning at the singalongs at the hotel.
This year in addition to playing solo this year, his Beatle Tribune act MegaBeatles will be performing a set of fan favorites on Saturday at 4:00 on the main lawn and Sunday at 8:30 on the fountain stage. Sunday’s show will be a blend of Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour albums aka “The Magical Pepper” In between the band’s shows and solo sets look for Chad in the middle of the late night jams.
